Hello World!
My name is Jon Mitchell and I have been a foreign correspondent since the age of 17.
This is the story of how the most powerful nation on Earth systematically abused my human rights to make a living and secretly blacklisted me as to prevent me working in the media.
When George W Bush talks about freedom, for me it sounds like a Fourth Reich Nazi, which I believe he is (funny how the SS used to have a skull and crossbones on their uniforms).
This blog is to expose a terrible story of repression of the media by people who claim they are fighting for "freedom".
The story begins in Panama City, where I lived for four years or so and was a successful freelance journalist and photo-journalist. I worked for The Christian Science Monitor, The Miami Herald, The Journal of Commerce, The Economist and The Guardian (London).
I left in 1998, after an assassination attempt, which led to seek refuge at the British Embassy in Panama City. At the time, I thought that I had annoyed some narco in Colombia, though it was merely the tip of the iceberg, a larger conspiracy soon presented itself with such obviousness, that it became extremely clear who was ruining my life - those great defenders of "freedom" - the US government!
Due to extensive covert control of the UK media, my friends in various spy agencies made sure I could not work in the mainstream UK media or any other where they could threaten, bribe or intimidate people into not hiring me in any way, despite the fact that I have a great CV.
Paranoid you may say...Though that is up to you and I care not if you think I am mad, I am not, I am "mad" about what has happened to me and all the abuse and censorship I have had to suffer from people who claim that they are defending it.
The whole hypocrasy of it is enough to make me puke (preferably all over George W Bush - frat boys take note!).
I used to like Americans, though now - like a wounded animal - I try not to talk to them, as I find most untrustworthy or dangerous, or both. I do not hate Americans per se, though obviously it is hard to keep nationalism out of your emotions when you have suffered so much abuse at their behest.
This story is very long and complicated, so I thought the best thing to do was put it on a blog as so the world can know what an absolute con America is when it comes to human rights and freedom of speech.
By the time you finish reading this, you may view me as a Victor Lazlo of sorts (though I do not have a bar or a nice suit!). So please check back in soon and if this is ammo for you against the Fourth Reich, sorry the American government, then please fire away and reload whenever you like.
This is also a sworn legal testimony and therefore any lawyers are welcome to take this case on my behalf.
